The game between Philippine Volcanoes and Japan Rugby Team is intense and more hotter that the afternoon; happen last Saturday, May 3 at “The Balcony”, Southern Plains Football area of Southern Plains, Silangan Exit of SLEX. This game is part of the Asian 5 Nations Tournament with the Asian Rugby Football Union (ARFU).
In the first part of the game, Philippine Volcanoes score enough to bit the Japan Rugby Team but sudden change happen in a few minutes in the first half. I know the Philippine Rugby fought with all their strength but the Japanese team is tough enough to dominate the game.
When the second half begin, Japanese team score continuously and end the game with 10 points for the Philippine Rugby vs. 99 points in favor of the Japan Rugby Team.
Had the opportunity to interviewed Matt Saunders about the game and their upcoming events and opponents.
The next opponent will be Sri Lanka, they will visit the place for a “friendly game” on May 17 and back here in the Philippines for a match with South Korea on May 24.
After the game, The Philippine Rugby Football Union hosted a banquet awards dinner at the Savannah Hall of Southern Plains Clubhouse. Aside from the awards, the Japanese Rugby Football Union handed a donation to the ARFU for the Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) victims.
